Sweet Spot® Rava Laddu

Recipe

  • 1 cup fine semolina (rava/sooji)
  • 1/2 cup SweetSpot (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2-3 tbsp grated fresh coconut (optional)
  • 1/4 cup milk (warm)
  • 8-10 cashews (chopped)
  • 8-10 raisins
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

Roast the Rava:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of ghee in a pan on medium heat.
  • Add the semolina and roast it until it turns light golden and aromatic. Stir continuously to avoid burning. Remove and set aside.

Fry the Nuts and Raisins:

  • In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee.
  • Fry the cashews until golden and the raisins until they puff up. Remove and set aside.

Mix the Wet Ingredients:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the roasted semolina, SweetSpot, grated coconut (if using), cardamom powder, fried cashews, and raisins.

Bind the Laddus:

  • Gradually add warm milk, a little at a time, to the mixture and mix well.
  • Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more milk.

Let the Laddus Set:

  • Place the laddus on a plate or tray and let them set for 30 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
