Sweet Spot® is a healthy sugar replacer made from cane sugar through a patented, proprietary enzyme process that converts sucrose into short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (sc-FOS). These sc-FOS occur naturally in vegetables such as onions, asparagus, and tomatoes, as well as in various fruits, wheat, and grains.

 

Technically, fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS) is a healthy form of sucrose in which one, two, or three additional fructose units are added via β-2,1-glycosidic linkages to the fructose unit of sucrose. Sweet Spot® represents the future of sweeteners, offering low calories and a very low glycemic index while delivering the same great taste as sugar.
